The artist collective ELEKTRO KAGURA organises the two-day music festival ‘EMU Festival’ at the Umspannwerk Reinickendorf. Music from the fields of electro and experimental music is combined with dance and live animation to create an interdisciplinary work of art.

The EMU Festival blurs the boundaries between improvisation and composition – a space in which sounds change and new forms emerge.

With live music by Tetsuya Hori & 1605munro, Michal Krajczok, Cornelius Onitsch from Kulku, Midori Hirano, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, AXL OTL and Satoshi Okamoto, the festival offers a selection of electronic, improvised and narrative sounds, ranging from subtle, experimental harmonies to powerful, abstract soundscapes. Ichi Go will impress with mesmerising movements and explosive dance, while Yukihiro Ikutani will project the space with his invigorating live animation.

The project is supported by Dezentrale Kulturarbeit Reinickendorf.
